About the Standard Brown 7.5A Spade Fuse
The medium-sized and most popular of the Durite automotive blade fuse family, the standard brown blade fuse offers a 7.5A continuous load protection and has a variety of uses in a vehicle's fusebox or when used with inline holders for circuit overload protection.
The ratings for 7.5A continuous use is based on a circuit constant load being always-on, the 15A blow rating is based on the circuit load being intermittent.
Fuse Ratings
Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always-on or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the fact that the circuit is intermittent and therefore the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
