About The 30A Strip Link Fuse

The Durite classic style small strip link fuses are historically used for surge protection, usually found mounted on vehicle fuse panels and when used inline on automotive cables and vehicle wiring.

The ratings for 30A continuous use is based on a circuit constant load being always-on, the 60A blow rating is based on the circuit load being intermittent.

Fuse Ratings

Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always-on or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the fact that the circuit is intermittent and therefore the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
