About The Green 40A MCASE Cartridge Fuse

The Durite Green 40 Amps MCASE cartridge-style fuse has female terminals for push-fit onto 2.8mm male terminals in fuse boxes. The miniaturized footprint allows for optimal use of space. It is a time-delayed 32Vdc maximum fuse designed to handle inrush currents.

The ratings for 40A continuous use are based on a circuit's constant load being always on, and the 80A blow rating is based on intermittent circuit load.

Fuse Ratings

Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always on (constant) or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the intermittent circuit; therefore, the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
