About The Brown 70A Straight Leg Cartridge Fuse

Durite replacement brown 70 Amps straight leg bolt down or plug-in fuses are for vehicle fuseboxes and panels and are used to replace a blown fuse position or to add to a vehicles breakdown kit.

The ratings for 70A continuous use is based on a circuit constant load being always-on, the 140A blow rating is based on the circuit load being intermittent.

Fuse Ratings

Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always-on or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the fact that the circuit is intermittent and therefore the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
