Durite replacement Red 50 Amps JCASE low profile plug-in fuses are for vehicle fuse boxes and panels and are used to replace a blown fuse position or to add to a vehicle's breakdown kit.

The ratings for 50A continuous use are based on a circuit's constant load being always on, and the 100A blow rating is based on intermittent circuit load.

Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always-on or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the intermittent circuit; therefore, the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
