Albright 150 Amps 48Vdc 2 x SW180 Monoblock solenoid contactor with one intermittent and one continuous coil. 48 Volts DC switch solenoids with an auxiliary microswitch and magnetic blowouts.
- The DC184 contactor has been designed for direct current loads, particularly motors as used on electric vehicles such as industrial trucks and airport tractors.
- The DC184 has double breaking main contacts with silver alloy contact tips, which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. The DC184 is a Monoblock construction, resulting in a neat compact design which is compatible with modern electronic control systems.
- Dust Shields are fitted to this unit.
- Integral mounting bracket version. No tapped holes.
- Special coil configuration: Left hand coil is 48Vdc - Continuous. The Right hand coil is 48Vdc - Intermittent.
- Positive (+) T-Contact to the front, Negative (-) posts at the back next to the bracket.
- Auxiliary Microswitch fitted to the Right Hand 48V INT. Coil
Magnetic Blowouts
These open case contactors are of double break configuration and are fitted with magnetic blowouts (denoted by 'B' suffix in the DC184B range) across the contact gaps. These enable high currents to be ruptured very quickly so that arcing time is reduced to a minimum. Fitting of blowouts makes the contacts polarity sensitive and the positive markings on the top cover of the contactor must be observed.
About The DC184 Switch Solenoids
Continuous contactors, by design, are predominantly used for drive functions on vehicles; they make and break slower than intermittent solenoids and are recommended for prolonged contact periods.
Intermittent contactors by design are predominantly used for hydraulic functions on vehicles, they make and break quicker than continuous solenoids and are not recommended for prolonged contact periods.
The DC184 features double-breaking main contacts with Silver-alloy tips, which are weld resistant, hardwearing and have excellent conductivity. The DC92 is a Monoblock construction, resulting in a neat compact design which is compatible with modern electronic control systems.
The DC92 is supplied with an integral mounting bracket and there are no tapped holes on the outer case. Please refer to the technical drawings for the bracket fixing points.
Interrupted Current: The opening and closing on load with frequent switching (resulting in increased contact resistance). |
Uninterrupted Current: No or infrequent load switching requirements (maintains a lower contact resistance). |
