Albright solenoid top covers brass screw insert is used for creating screw threads in a contactors Bakelite plastic housings.
- The collet is a Brass threaded insert measuring M3 Internal and M5 external, and it has a tapered end with a slot for thread starting.
- The insert, used to retain the switch locating screws in the contactor or stop switch cap, has a slot; it is not a screwdriver slot. The slot is a thread starter that you offer up to the external pre-drilled (unthreaded) holes in the Bakelite top cover cap.
- You can thread the M3 screw into the insert (opposite end to the slot) before offering it up to the top cover; this enables you to use a screwdriver on the actual screw to assist seating best.
