About the Black and Yellow Safety-Grip Tape
The standard Yellow/Black Safety-Grip tape from Arc Components Ltd is used for general applications and is perfect for domestic or commercial use. Standard Safety Grip can be used for additional slip-protection on various foothold surfaces like steps, footwells, platforms and even for covering entire walkways.
Our standard anti-slip tape is made from fine-grade aluminium oxide, making it suitable for a wide range of safety grip applications. The grit is a medium anti-slip abrasive coating. Our standard Safety-Grip is great for general anti-slip requirements, possessing excellent levels of grip (measured as Coefficient of Friction). Safety-Grip is water resistant (if applied onto a non-porous surface) and has exceptional durability in external or internal areas.
When considering this foothold tread for use on products such as wooden decking, it would be easy to mistake the term 'deck tread' for 'decking tread'. The tread will only stick well to wooden surfaces that are smooth and primed with a wood sealant before application to stop it from being porous. Getting a long-lasting result on grooved wood would be difficult, as dust and debris can lift and damage the coating.
The surface of this particular product is coloured Yellow and Black for a hazardous area warning notice and has a sandpaper-type appearance. Its characteristics are best suited to a marine lower deck use and any particular outdoor environment where a safety foothold is required, ideal for manually operated machinery and step ladder access. The product is also suitable for flat (smooth) ramps for disabled wheelchair access.
