About The 15A Standard 25mm Glass Fuse
The Durite classic style glass fuse with 6.5mm diameter nickel-plated brass caps are historically used for surge protection, usually found mounted on vehicle PCB's and when used inline on automotive cables and vehicle wiring.
The ratings for 15A continuous use is based on a circuit constant load being always-on, the 30A blow rating is based on the circuit load being intermittent.

Continuous ratings for fuses are based on the fact they should blow at the amperage when the circuit is always-on or plugged in. The blow ratings for fuses are based on the fact that the circuit is intermittent and therefore the fuse is required to heat up before blowing.
