The 0-605-41 emergency stop switches are designed to be pull cord kill switches for marine boats and watercraft engines. The unit is also suitable for ride-on equipment such as lawnmowers and brush cutters.

A safety cord switch on a watercraft can save lives and help avoid serious accidents; it would be right to offer that; fitting these types of switches, from whichever reputable source, is a good safety practice. A report published in the UK in 2013 by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch quoted: “the lack of a kill cord switch contributed to the cause of death” regarding a major boating accident.
