Durite 12-24 Volts DC multifunction programmable speaker can be used while reversing, indicating left or right. It allows you to record your own warning message to alert road users and people around the vehicle.

  • Records customisable warning message to be used in all situations.
  • The alarm supports MP3/WAV files up to 4MB.

Wiring

  • RED: Power Input (12/24V) - Connect to ACC (12/24V).
  • BLACK: Ground - Connect to chassis.
  • GREEN: Sound Trigger (+) - Connect to positive output trigger.
  • GREY: Mute Wire - Connect to right (left) indicator when the alarm is used for left (right) turn (mute for hazard lights). Connect to headlights when the alarm is used for reversing.

Installation

 Select a mounting position on the vehicle, which will allow your alarm to operate properly, even in adverse conditions.

  • Mount in a position that allows the unobstructed sound projection to the hazard area.
  • Mount the alarm securely through fixing holes provided. The hole centre is 75-85mm.
  • The unit must not be fitted facing upwards or downwards.
  • Protect from impact, flying objects and dirt.
  • Keep away from high-temperature areas around the engine or exhaust.

Operation

  • When the fitting is completed, connect the battery earth cable and test for operation.
  • Test the unit regularly thereafter for proper function.
  • Warning alarms are strictly meant as safety aids and are not a substitute for proper care and attention while manoeuvring a vehicle.

Operation Guide for Audio Files Loading

Before loading audio files into the alarm, you will need to have a standard PC USB extension cable male to male (not supplied).

  1. Please connect the alarm to a computer through a USB extension cable. Ensure that the is alarm powered off.
  2. You will find a “U disk” on the computer. Then, load your MP3 / WAV audio files to the “U disk”. Ensure that MP3 WAV audio file is less than 4MB.
  3. After everything above is done, please eject “U disk” from the computer. When the alarm is powered on, it works normally and should play the custom recording.
