This Durite Black polyisobutylene-based self-amalgamating tape is designed to make joints, splices and waterproof repairs to most types of cables up to 46kv.

Application

Strip back the interleaving and stretch the tape to reduce its width by between one-third and one-half.
Keep the tape under tension and wrap, overlapping successive layers by 50%, until the desired insulation build-up is achieved.
Finish the wrapping by holding the tape under your thumb and snap by stretching.
