  • Selectable load setting 125A or 250A.

Instructions and Warnings For Translation

  • If the battery is fitted in a vehicle, do not have the engine running.
  • Do not connect or disconnect the test set clips while the discharge test is in progress.
  • When several batteries are to be tested, the test set must be allowed to cool for a few minutes between each test.
  • A considerable amount of heat is generated inside the test set during discharge and the case may become hot.

Operating Instructions

Where possible consult the battery manufacturer's data for discharge loading and voltage. As a guide, the 125 Amps load should be applied to light duty batteries and 250 Amps load to heavy duty batteries.

  1. Connect the test set clips to the battery terminals; red to positive and black to negative, ensure firm contact is made. The battery voltage should read approximately 12.5 Volts. If there is no reading and the red lamp glows, the connections have been made incorrectly.
  2. Press the appropriate button and hold in until the green light goes out (ten seconds). If the voltage remains over 9 Volts during discharge the battery is in good condition and well charged. If the voltage falls steadily the battery is in a low state of charge or faulty. Recharge and test again.
